BlueBRIDGE Users and Services: a growing trend

The BlueBRIDGE users are growing fast. Over 1000 new users became part of the BlueBRIDGE user-community from the start of the project (September 2015). The increase in the number of users is clearly related to the widening of the BlueBRIDGE offering: in April 2017 the BlueBRIDGE Gateway, the unique access point for the BlueBRIDGE services, made available over 30 BlueBRIDGE Virtual Research Environments.

The application deadline to the BlueBRIDGE Call for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) is only 3 weeks away. You have time until the 10th June 17:00 CEST to send your proposal and take advantage of the BlueBRIDGE datasets, services and technologies, and data analytics. The BlueBRIDGE call for SMEs will support 5 lucky SMEs with data management challenges in the fisheries, marine, environmental & ecological domains or in the aquaculture providing integrated data management solutions that combine different technologies and resources (such as datasets from different data sources not harmonised, as well as computing resources, data analytics tools). To apply, all you need to is download the proposal application template, complete all five sections and submit it through the online submission portal.

On March 2017, the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO (IOC/UNESCO) and the Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the European Commission (DG MARE) adopted a "Joint Roadmap to accelerate Maritime/Marine Spatial Planning processes worldwide".

From the 7th to the 10th March 2017, the 4th BlueBRIDGE TCom meeting is taking place in Copenhagen kindly hosted by the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES).

The aim of the meeting is to discuss the state of play of the BlueBRIDGE project and the plan for the upcoming months.
