RDA Ninth Plenary Meeting, 5-7 April 2017, Barcelona, Spain


The 9th RDA Plenary Meeting will take place from 5th to 7th April 2017 at the Barcelo Sants Hotel, Barcelona, Spain. The plenary meeting is organised by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center-Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) with the support of RDA Europe and sponsored by Lenovo. BlueBRIDGE @ HydroMediT 2016


From 10-12 November 2016 BlueBRIDGE took part in the 2nd International Congress "HydroMediT 2016" in Mesolonghi, Greece. The 3-day programme explored applied ichthyology and the aquatic environment. The main objective of the conference was to examine global trends and innovations for the sustainable development of aquaculture and fisheries.

A new suite of three algorithms, implementing a Supervised Machine Learning Workflow based on Feed Forward Neural Networks, is now available for the BlueBRIDGE VREs


A new suite of three algorithms, implementing a Supervised Machine Learning Workflow based on Feed Forward Neural Networks, is now available. It can be used for general Classification and Regression tasks as well as correlation studies and biological simulations requiring some kind of information extraction from labelled data.  
The three algorithms are briefly described below:

New BlueBRIDGE VRE supporting a scientific training on Stock Assessment


BlueBRIDGE recently developed a Virtual Research Environment (VRE) supporting a scientific training on Stock Assessment. This VRE will be used for the ICES Advanced Stock Assessment Training Course, which will be held from Monday, 28 November, to Friday, 2 December, 2016.
