On October 11th, Gianpaolo Coro (ISTI-CNR) will be giving a talk at the International Conference on Marine Data and Information Systems (IMDIS) 2016 in Gdansk, Poland. The subject of the talk will be: "Bridging environmental data providers and SeaDataNet DIVA service within a collaborative and distributed e-Infrastructure." The talk will begin at 11:45AM and will last for approximately 15 minutes.

By utilizing tuna fisheries data in the Indian Ocean, the authors propose a method to forecast fisheries time series. In comparing this method to others, they demonstrate that it is able to highlight periodic patterns in a high fishing activity area such as the Indian Ocean.
