RDA Europe-BlueBRIDGE Datathon on Fisheries and Aquaculture, June 15-16, Heraklion, Crete, Greece

All data enthusiasts (data scientists and practitioners, students, researchers, representatives from both private and public sector, that work to improve the aquaculture, fisheries, marine and environmental management, or develop ICT solutions for environmental and socio economics) were invited to join the datathon co-organised by the RDA-Europe and BlueBRIDGE from June 15 to 16, 2017, in Heraklion, Crete, Greece.

BlueBRIDGE webinar: Using e-Infrastructures for Biodiversity Conservation


BlueBRIDGE is organizing a webinar on 30 May 2017, 11am CEST with the aim to showcase how the BlueBRIDGE VREs can enable data sharing and experiments reproducibility and repeatability in the biodiversity conservation field. Examples of tools that can be adopted by the audience will be also showcased.

On 26th April 2017, at 11:00, Gianpaolo Coro from the Istituto di Scienza e Tecnologie dell’Informazione (ISTI) gave a presentation entitled "Analysis of invasive species using species distribution models:  the silver-cheeked toadfish (Lagocephalus sceleratus) use case" in Rome, Italy, at the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations headquarters.
